First on the bill is ASHLEY/AMBER, a short film about an antiwar activist who finds fame after being outed as the one-time star of an internet porn video. ASHLEY/AMBER premiered at the Berlin Int’l Film Fest, won “Best Student Film” at the NJ Int’l Film Fest, and is set to screen next month at the Williamsburg Int’l Film Fest. Brooklyn-based filmmaker Rebecca Rojer will be in person to answer questions following the screening. More info: www.ashley-amber.com

Our feature presentation is CITIZEN RUTH, a film about an irresponsible, drug-addicted, recently impregnated woman who finds herself in the middle of an abortion debate when both parties attempt to sway her to their respective sides. Directed by Alexander Payne (ELECTION, SIDEWAYS) and staring Laura Dern (BLUE VELVET).

This event is hosted by the folks at 136 Lawrence who run the 136 Lawrence who run 3B Bed & Breakfast. 136 Lawrence is located in downtown Brooklyn, just minutes from Manhattan and within 1-5 blocks of the A/C/F, R/Q, 2/3, 4/5, B/D & G trains. Handy directions here.
